Rosalie the Shackleton
A small charitable endeavour with big plans. Led by an eccentric ensemble of gents based out of Aero Hub Newquay, Rosalie is a charity founded in order to restore the old Avro Shackleton aircraft that was for many year the gate-guard at RAF St Mawgan. Rather than see it lost to scrap, Rosalie aims to restore the Shackleton to its former glory as a showcase for STEM education for schoolchildren, further and higher learning. I caught up with the team during this early phase of renovation for a tour of the aircraft.
